 As you know beautiful clothes, the prerequisite is that it fits the body and matches the measurements. So let's make wedding dresses with IDY - starting from taking the right measurements

 To get a number of measurements for wedding dress , you save the following points of note:

Use a vinyl tape-measure
When you measure, wear slim clothes, bra similar to what you plan to wear on your wedding day/party
Stand up straight.

  And follow the instructions below.

How To Take Body Measurements?

1. BUST

Lift your arms to the side and measure around your body, standing straight, measure under your arms around the widest part of your back and the fullest part of the bust. Keep the tape measure parallel to the floor. Pay attention to keeping the tape measure straight, not deflected or contorted

Stand straight and measure around your body, above the fullest part of the bust

2. UPPER BUST

Stand straight and measure around your body below the fullest part of the chest.

3. UNDER BUST

Measure the distance from the left nipple to the right nipple chest.

4. BUST POINT DISTANCE

Measure the straight line from the shoulder to the bust ( the highest point of the chest ). The point of shoulder is the junction between the neck and the shoulder.

5. BUST HEIGTH

Measure around your waistline. Keep your forefinger between your body and the measuring tape for an accurate fit.


6. WAIST

How to determine the waist: Use your hand to swipe from the armpit to the hips, the waist is the curviest and smallest part. The waist is usually 2 cm higher than the navel. 
Place your soft tape measure at the side neck point, measure down the body over the bust including the bridge and down to the waist, ensure your tape measure is parallel to the body

7.  SHOULDER TO WAIST MEASUREMENT (FRONT )

Measure from the base of the neck and end at the waistline where the ribbon are wrapped
Before measuring, please use a ribbon wrapped around your waist (smallest place)
Measure behind, the line is perpendicular to the ground. From the top of the neck bone to the waist.

8. BACK LENGTH (NECK TO WAIST)

The line is perpendicular to the ground. From the top of the neck bone to the point you want.

9. HEIGTH OF V-BACK

Measure around the abdomen, the largest belly position (usually 2cm below the navel)

10. ABDOMEN

Stand straight and pull the tape across the widest part of the hips and fullest part of your bottom

11. HIP

Measure behind, the line is perpendicular to the ground. From the top of the neck bone to the position of the buttocks.

12. HEIGTH OF HIP

Measure around the thigh. The largest position when standing with two legs closed

13. THIGH

(For the Front of the Dress)
Please stand straight against a wall, mark where your collarbones are, and then measure from the marking down to the floor. If you are ordering a short dress, then please measure from your collarbones to the end of the dress (hemline)

(For the back of the Dress)
Measure a straight line, perpendicular to the ground.
Measure behind your back, from the top of your neck to your desired length.


14. HOLLOW TO HEM

( without shoes )
This is measured from shoulder bone on one side to the other side shoulder bone.

15. SHOULDER TO SHOULDER

Measure the distance between two shoulder joints with arms dropping naturally, taken at the back and front

BACK SHOULDER
From shoulder seam to length desired. Please note that this is NOT your arm's length unless you want long sleeves.

16. SLEEVES LENGTH (if your dress has sleeves)

Hands on waist. Measure around the armpit, passing through the shoulder bone point.

17. ARM HOLE - ARM-PIT (if your dress has straps or sleeves)

( Measure the circumference around your arm.)
Place your hand on your waist, measure around your biceps, the largest position of your biceps.

18. ARM’S GIRTH - BICEPT (if your dress has sleeves)

Measure around your elbow, taking care to keep your arms straight.

19. ELBOW

Measure around the hand, the largest position of the hand.

20. HAND CIRCUMFERENCE

21. WRIST

Measure around the wrist, plus 1 cm
Measure around the neck.

22. NECK

NOTE:

      When measuring, you should measure accurately, to avoid incorrect measurement, which will lead to the garment being sewn wrong, not fitting

      Provide more height and weight so that IDY has a more comprehensive view of the clothes that are about to be sewn for you

      If with the above instructions, you are still not confident that you are measuring correctly, then go to IDY store and have staff to help you take measurements.
